Buses
There are three kinds of buses in Bangkok. Ordinary buses which are cheap but crowded cost about 2-5 baht; Air-conditioned buses which are only slightly more expensive but worth the price for being able to escape the heat and pollution cost about 6-16 baht; and Microbuses which are the most expensive but guarantee you a seat are about 15-30 baht. The ordinary buses run day and night with a reduced service after 10 p.m. The air-conditioned buses only run during the day-time stopping at about 8.30 p.m. As you can see in the photo destinations are not always written in English. It is important for you to know your bus numbers. You can buy English language bus maps in all good book stores in Bangkok.
